A Key Largo man, stopped for not wearing a seatbelt, went to jail on drug charges Wednesday.

Detectives from the Sheriff’s Special Investigations Division pulled over 52 year old Michael Mitchell in his white Chevrolet van at 4 p.m. at the 101 mile marker for not wearing his seat belt. After Mitchell was issued a citation. K-9 Detective David Smith and his dog Deja checked the van for the presence of drugs. The dog alerted, locating 25 crack cocaine rocks concealed in Mitchell's cooler. Detectives also located Viagra and Cialis in the van. Mitchell did not have a prescription for the Viagra.
